Tuscaloosa County Emergency Communications District (ECD) is dedicated to providing a competent and unified emergency communications response system to meet the needs of our communities. Our mission is to collaborate with partners in order to protect lives, property, and communities, while enhancing public safety. 

At Tuscaloosa County ECD, we strive to serve the public trust with a modern, interoperable, efficient, and financially sound 9-1-1 system. We ensure a measured and appropriate response to all service requests, inspiring industry excellence through innovative technologies and a dedicated staff.

Our vision is to be recognized as an integral partner in the public safety and criminal justice community. To achieve this, we adhere to our core values of integrity, respect, unity, and service.
